Retiree Spotlight

G. Patricia (Pat) Ward

Each month, Retiree Spotlight will feature accomplishments of retired postal employees.

Our retiree this month is G. Patricia (Pat) Ward, former Manager, Employee Development for the U.S. Postal Inspection Service. Pat retired from the Postal Inspection Service in December 2006. Prior to that, Pat worked at headquarters in Employee Development, and before that was Manager, Training for the Cincinnati District. Since retiring, Pat enjoys traveling, taking long leisurely lunches and using social media to keep up with old and new friends.

Stamps to the Rescue

Stamps to the Rescue

The Postal Service is working with Ellen DeGeneres, a well-known advocate for pet adoption, and Halo, a pet food company she owns, to promote attention to and awareness of its "Animal Rescue: Adopt a Shelter Pet" commemorative stamp project. These stamps continue a 50-year Postal Service tradition of bringing attention to serious social issues of the day.
