A Message from the PMG
Holiday message from the Postmaster General
Any way you look at it, 2007 was a remarkable year for the Postal Service and for the millions of families and businesses who depend on us — day in and day out.
We had the strongest service year in our history. That was the key to keeping customer satisfaction high. As we implemented one of the most complex rate adjustments in more than 10 years, we also brought efficiency to a whole new level. And because of the care our people have always shown in their work, America told us once again that the Postal Service is the most trusted government agency.
As we begin a new year — with all of its opportunities and challenges — I want to personally thank you. Everything we accomplished in 2007 was possible because of the strong foundation you helped us to build. That's contributed to our success in staying focused on our customers. I appreciate those efforts.
At this special time of year, as we take the time to share, to count our blessings, and to enjoy the closeness of family and friends, I want to wish you and yours the happiest of holidays and all the best in the New Year.

Jack Potter
