Lenora Clark
Lenora Clark is proof that there is life after the Postal Service.
Clark and her husband, Richard, reside east of the San Francisco Bay area in the California Delta. She is a member of the local Ebony Boat Club where she developed a scholarship program to introduce more inner-city youth to boating. She is on the Board of Directors of the Pacific Inter-Club Yacht Association and is past President of Recreational Boaters of California. She has been Co-Chair of the Legislative Committee of Recreational Boaters of California since 2003 and is now serving on two national boating Board of Directors. Clark was recently re-appointed by Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger to a second term (2008 - 2012) on the Boating and Waterways Commission. In May, she was recognized by Boat U.S. Magazine as one of the top women in American boating. Click here to read Clark’s story (p.36-37).
Clarke retired in 2002 after a 39-year postal career. She was the former Postmaster of Pittsburg, CA and culminated her career as acting Manager of Post Office Operations in the Oakland District.
